Coi Mattison
ART DIRECTOR
Who I Am
I’m Coi — a Los Angeles–based art director, creative strategist, and founder of Limbic Lamb, a mindfulness brand for children. For over a decade, I’ve told visual stories that stretch across culture, emotion, and purpose.
My work lives in many forms: from shaping on-air brand experiences at Revolt, to designing the visuals for PJ Morton’s Grammy-nominated album, to building affirmation tools that help children believe in themselves. I’ve collaborated with global brands like Apple, Netflix, Beats, and Honda — but what matters most is how the work makes people feel.
My Philosophy
Design isn’t just what I do — it’s how I move through the world.
I create to translate emotion into story. I design to center intention, clarity, and care. I believe that visuals can restore memory, spark presence, and offer quiet transformation.
Even in bold spaces — live events, cultural campaigns, content that moves at speed — I lead with stillness and strategy. That balance is my superpower.
What I’ve Built
For several years, I ran my own creative studio, helping artists, entrepreneurs, and cultural storytellers bring their visions to life. While I no longer take on freelance work, I remain open to collaborations that feel aligned with my spirit and my standards.
Today, I lead visual design at Revolt while growing Limbic Lamb, a product line of affirmation cards and journals designed to nurture self-worth in young minds. Limbic Lamb has been recognized by AT&T’s Dream in Black campaign, and continues to grow as a quiet movement for mindful parenting and emotional literacy.
What’s Next
I’m expanding into speaking, teaching, and sharing my journey more publicly — not as a how-to, but as a here’s what’s true.
I speak about creative leadership, branding with soul, the power of design as memory, and the experience of navigating big spaces as a quiet Black woman who still takes up space.
If that speaks to you — let’s talk.
